In a recent announcement, the Ministry of Interior of Qatar has introduced a three-month grace period for individuals who have violated Law No. (21) of 2015, which regulates the entry, exit and residence of expatriates in the country. This initiative aims to assist those who have overstayed their visas or breached residency regulations in facilitating their departure from Qatar.

Key Details:

  • Grace Period Duration: The grace period begins on Sunday, February 9, 2025, and will extend for three months, offering ample time for violators to arrange their exit.
  • Departure Options: Those affected can either head directly to Hamad International Airport to finalize their departure or visit the Search and Follow-up Department located on Salwa Road. The department will be open on official working days from 1 PM to 9 PM to assist with the necessary departure procedures.

This measure underscores Qatar’s commitment to managing residency issues while providing a fair opportunity for violators to correct their status. If you or someone you know is impacted by this announcement, it’s crucial to take action promptly to ensure compliance with the regulations.
