The Qatar Central Bank has officially declared Wednesday, 1 January, and Thursday, 2 January 2025, as holidays for all financial institutions in the country. The holiday is in observance of the year-end closing process, as stipulated by the Council of Ministers Resolution No. (6) of 2008, which governs official holidays in Qatar.
This means that all banks, financial services, and related institutions will remain closed on these two days. Financial operations and services will resume on Sunday, 5 January 2025.
Financial institutions are encouraged to prepare in advance for the closure to ensure smooth operations before the holiday period.
